About

Shlomo Deutsch.
Better known as SOL.

Behind the decks since 2015 — weddings, mitzvahs and corporate rooms, and a set of ears that hasn't stopped listening.

I started the way most people do — small local events, borrowed gear, learning what works by getting it wrong in front of a room. That turned into weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and corporate events across New York and New Jersey, and a name that gets passed around the Jewish community by word of mouth more than anything else.

What I'm known for is blending. Not genre-hopping for the sake of it — actually finding the line between a Jewish set and a house set, between what the grandparents want and what the kids came for, and riding it all night. Open format isn't a marketing word for me; it's the only honest way to run a room where forty percent of the guests wouldn't pick the same song.

I'm also an operations manager in the event rental world by day, which means I've spent a decade on the other side of these events — tents, load-ins, venue coordinators, timelines. When your planner asks me about power, access or run-of-show, I speak the language.

Based in New Jersey. Working across NY, NJ, and traveling for the right event.

The kit

Gear that doesn't make excuses.

Professional audio, redundant where it matters, and set up hours before doors.

Sound

RCF & QSC

RCF column arrays for full-room coverage, QSC K12.2 monitors at the booth. Sized to the venue so the back of the room hears the same mix as the front.

Decks

Traktor

A Traktor rig on hardware controllers and a proper mixer. Backup drives, backup laptop, backup everything — because a dead hard drive is not a story you want at your wedding.

Mics & Light

Wireless + LED

Wireless handhelds for speeches and announcements. LED dance lighting and battery uplighting that runs without cable across your floor.
